Gender Identity Equal Rights Protection – Salina, KS

The Salina, Kansas City Council did vote 3 – 2 to pass equal rights protections to the transgendered.  This does put the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered (LGBT) rights above  a churches or individuals religious right to decline participation.  For example a church must make available  its facilities to a LGBT event.  Another example is that a Christian photographer cannot decline to photo shoot a gay union ceremony.
